There are multiple ways of sending a link from Chrome browser on your computer to your android phone. For starters, you can use email to send links, and the latest in the line is the beta extension that came along with the beta Chrome App for Android.
But I do it in my way, a little (but not too much) old school way.
My way uses apps and extensions but still a little old comparing to the latest in the town. Chrome beta app on Android can work with an extension which sends links with built in but optional offline viewing option. But this like the old chrome to phone apps, has to be set up with password (even though one time).
I haven’t done this on my personal PC because I did find myself using this option often enough to justify a permanent set up. Setting up something like this on work PC is out of question.
After getting this new Android phone, I spent some time searching for good wallpapers on Flickr. I was in my office when I found a few of them that I liked and I wanted an easy way to send those links to phone.
I got this working with a Chrome extension and an App on the phone. Well, it’s not a discovery of any kind but, if anyone finds this useful, I will be happy!
Ingredients
On your computer – QR code generator extension , free

On your Android phone - A bar code reader app/QR code scanner app, free

The Secret
This is the phase where I let the secret out
On any link/image/page, right click and select ”Generate QR Code”. The QR code will be displayed on your screen. Now scan it using your phone and you are ready to go!!!!
Anyone who think it is a good idea?
